How does it work?

Just like a traditional hot water system, cold water enters the Sunpro® solar storage tank. The patented Hotlogic™ processor transfers this cold water from the tank up to the highly efficient solar collectors. These collectors have a highly absorbent black chrome selective surface coating and ultrasonic welding to ensure the highest efficiency within its class.
As the water is pumped through the solar collectors, the sun's energy is absorbed by the collectors and transferred to the water, heating it naturally as it passes through.
The Hotlogic® processor is constantly watching the changing weather conditions and transferring water through the collectors until the tank reaches its designated temperature (or until the temperature differential is too low, like on cloudy days).
At this point, Hotlogic® switches off and waits for you to enjoy your naturally heated hot water. The heavily insulated Sunpro® solar storage tank is designed to keep the water warmer for longer, just like a thermos.
Now on cloudy days, the Hotlogic® processor recognises the reduced solar gain and automatically boosts the tank with 'back up' electricity. This 'next generation' intelligent technology searches for and switches to the cheapest available energy source automatically.
