4 Easy Steps - Solar Installation Process
Step 1
Once an enquiry is made regarding Solar Hot Water our fully trained customer service team will facilitate and arrange for an appointment with one of our technical assessors for a FREE measure & quote.
Step 2
At our Free Measure & quote a Mark assessor will be able to ascertain your exact requirements specific to your needs.
Our assessor will run through some of the following items, to name a few:
- Installation charges and future running costs as well as purchase price
- Any rebates you may be entitled to
- How many people are usually in your home (including frequent guests)
- Whether your family is likely to grow and if you have babies or young children, how much extra hot or warm washing you'll be doing
- What other hot water-using appliances you have or might get
- The size of your home, especially extra bathrooms or showers
- How many hot taps you might want to use at once
- Your preferred energy – solar, gas, electricity and hot water tariff choice (some states offer off-peak electricity options), running costs and associated greenhouse gas emissions
- Service availability (you may not have natural gas available to your property)
- Current water temperature and pressure
- Solar aspect considerations for the install of the solar collector panels
- Other requirements that may need to be performed prior to the installation date
Depending on these aspects the assessor will provide you with several options for your Hot Water requirements. Once you've made your choice than an installation date will be arranged.
Please allow 1 to 1 ½ hours for the initial consultation.
Step 3
On the day of the installation we will have a licensed plumber and electrician (if required) present to perform the install. Prior to commencement of any works the install crew will guide you through the installation process, inclusive of how the system works.
The install is then commissioned and install times can range from 1 to 5 hours, depending on complexity and site requirements.
On completion of the installation of your Solar Hot Water unit the install crew will:
- test to ensure that the system works efficiently
- provide you with an overview of the system when it's functioning
- remove any debris or materials created during the install (inclusive of you r old hot water tank)
- assist with the completion of all forms for your collection of the rebates that apply to you
